My Story So Far…
Raised in Phoenix AZ my father was a General Practice Physician, which enabled me to get my first job in Hospital at the age of 17.
I spent 24 years as a professional firefighter and paramedic in Washington State. I was among the first nationally recognized EMTs trained in the 70’s and I taught fire prevention in the school Systems. I worked in an emergency department in Tacoma WA as a Technician and trained EMTs for many years.
I was the founder and manager of the first of its kind rural emergency clinic at Crystal Mountain Resort in Washington. (Near Mt. Rainier) I was also a professional ski patroller, avalanche certified. I graduated from the University of Washington MEDEX PA School (one of the oldest and most respected in Nation) and I hold a Degree in Clinical Health Sciences.
I was recognized by CMS and peers for my treatment of diabetics in skilled nursing facilities in Northern Nevada I served as a consultant for a Quality Assurance Company for 2 years. Currently I am the owner of RENOPAC, LLC a company that provides locum services. During my travels, I held a pharmacy dispensing license when I was working in rural clinics.
Currently I see Patients for Geriatric Specialty Care in Reno NV. It is a nationally recognized leader in this unique non-office based type of Practice. I hold training in emergency care, pediatrics, general, adult and geriatric medicine.
I am an Expert skier, both in the Alpine discipline and less so in Telemark and I spend as much time as possible on my Mountain Bike. I am also a Certified Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver.
