Tales Before the Crypt

Shared Medical tales, advice, and history as told by a raconteur with nearly 50 years of background

I have served in healthcare of some form for the past 47 years. My inspiration for this blog is to share my experiences and those of others in a lighter, more understandable way.

My knowledge of the medical industry will be available on topics ranging from emergency medicine, sports medicine, adult medicine and my current practice as an Internal Medicine Geriatric Physician Assistant.

This blog will be used for the positive exchange of ideas, and theories as they relate to medicine; the practice of it, and the consuming of it, future and past. Hopefully presented in a light, sometimes humorous way.

I will also be talking about the politics of medicine. The positives and the negatives. I will discuss insurance. How it works, why insurers do the things they do, the cost and what to look for when shopping for it.
I hope to share my years of experience to moderate this blog. I will also provide professional advice, referrals, and guidance based professional input. Respond with a question after reading the topic and I will respond. I am not going to try to amaze with how many degrees and how smart I may or may not be, just real life advice and information; From the cradle to the grave.

Anyone who wants to comment on a post is welcome to do so.
